A lesson from the desert
The Daily Drip
The desert is a tough place.
This past weekend, I was in Moab, Utah.
The climate is unforgiving. In the summer, it’s scorching hot and in the winter it can be 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
Almost nothing grows there.
But the few things that do grow there, grow everywhere.
Yep, you know where I’m going with this.
You don’t have to be successful or amazing in every context or circumstance.
You just have to do one thing really well to contribute.
If you want to live a full life, go do lots of things and have lots of experiences.
If you want to contribute value to the world, focus on a few things and do them really well.
You can have both. Just don’t conflate them.
