Sometimes, the thing we need is urgency.
It turns out that there are plenty of important things in our lives that we never do.
Exercise. Tell Mom we love her. Start writing that novel.
Whatever it is, we know it's important yet we still don't do it.
How will we ever convince ourselves to take action?
Well, one way to see if this is truly something that's important to you is to add some urgency.
The way I've done this is by using what I call "The Death Bed Timer."

Basically, the idea is that you estimate how much time you've got left and run the timer. I have the time built into my website so I can check on it when I need to give myself a little kick.
