A trick for unconventional introspection
The Daily Drip
Here's a little experimental thought for you:
Have you ever tried to look inside yourself?
Maybe you're introspecting because you want to learn about what you value. Maybe it's because you want to know your true desires. Maybe you just want to know yourself better because someone told you that's correlated with success in some way.
Whatever your reason, have you tried looking outward first?
I know, it sounds unintuitive.
But next time you're looking inside yourself and you come up short, try using this question:
"Who do you admire? What specific traits or characteristics do you admire about them?"
For some strange reason, it's easier to identify those traits in others.
After you do that, you can look back at yourself and ask if what you admire is worth admiring.
That part is up to you.
