[TOOL] Assertiveness vs. Aggression
The Daily Drip
Several times in the last few weeks, I've had conversations and referenced a document that has changed my life.
For some reason, many of us confuse assertiveness with aggressiveness.
I don't know how this happened but it seems to be a pattern for people.
Here's what I've got:
Assertiveness sticking up for yourself, your values and your beliefs. This means drawing healthy boundaries with friends, family, coworkers, and strangers on what you're willing to do or not do.
Aggressiveness is attacking or dominating others in order to make ourselves feel safe or in control of our environment.
As I have these conversations, I will be building them into my new website for quick reference.
Here's the Assertiveness Training document I've used many times.
It lives in the VAULT that you all have access to as well, but hopefully, it'll be easier to share this document because all you have to do now is say "oh yeah, I have a tool for that, just go to chrisdanilo.com/assertivenesstraining and download the file for free."
Hope this helps.
