A simple rule for complicated times

If you're reading this, you probably care a lot about being productive.
You might even care about being useful.
I'd also guess that if that's true, you probably care about others and you probably care about what happens to the planet after you're gone.
Well, right now, there's a lot going on.
Health and safety, human rights, and a lot of people are still not as productive while working from home.
And that all makes sense, right? We would expect that during a time like this, we wouldn't be able to maintain our maximum output.
But yet, there goes our brain, telling us what we didn't accomplish or that we're too distracted, or that we used to be able to do much more than what we're doing now.
Here's a rule that you can make for yourself that will help during difficult times like these.
You're not allowed to beat yourself up.
There is literally no advantage to beating yourself up and the decision to abolish this will never come back to bite you.
