It's not all in your head
The Daily Drip
There's this lie that challenges and hurdles are more mental than physical.
That's only partially true.
If you're running a marathon, you had better hope that you trained for it.
If you didn't, your body might physically not make it.
Once you've put in the "base miles," as they're called, your body will be equipped to hand the challenge.
At that point, all that's left is toil.
My point is that challenges are only mostly mental if you've already got the physical capacity, mental capacity, experience, or whatever else it is that distinguishes an expert from a beginner.
If you're starting a business for the first time, this is no different.
You will undoubtedly face mental challenges.
Your friends won't believe in your idea. Your mom will ask you to go get a job. You won't be able to convince others to understand your vision. It's not fun.
But it's not just a mental battle.
If you have no business acumen, then your mom is right. You probably won't make it.
Training is a critical part of mental challenges. It's not just all in your head.
Unless you're hoping you'll get lucky.
